So Bad  -  Post 1

START

This track was completed in two stages. One being for a client, and the other for my Unit 8 assignment. I was recording the audio for a live studio session that the music performance, music production and film students were getting involved with. Maria Casals was one of several performers that day and I approached her and offered to do a proper studio recording of the track she had performed. 

My initial thoughts were “This is very Katie Melua”. That acoustic vibe with a very soft voice. Also English being the second language to Maria made the performance all the more interesting.

The deal was; she’d supply the song, the band, and correspond with them as to when a studio day could work. I was to oversee tracking and post production.

Tracking started and finished on the 30th of May.
