JOSEPH COOKLIN LEVEY - UNIT:7B

MY CONCEPT
For unit 8 I want to try and increase my creative input in the music I produce. I come from a musical background and I want to use my theoretical and practical knowledge of the subject to help create a body of work, compiled from multiple genres - previously explored and yet to be discovered.
I shall research production and musical techniques that define a genre, and use this research to produce music to as high a standard as I can.

I would also like to use this project to test my own production style and experiment with DAW's, rituals (processes) and objects (tools).

There will be compromise between my researched production techniques and my own production exploration (like extensive use of MIDI and using recording techniques from my own production culture) as I want to be able to depend on my own resources as well as those provided by the Northbrook University Centre.

To try and keep my documentation clear and concise, each track has three articles: The "Start", the "R&D" (research and development), and the "Finish". Each will explain the who's, how's, why's, what's and when's.
