JOSEPH COOKLIN LEVEY - UNIT:7B

Instrumentals, and audio that sits with visuals suit my compositions best. For this piece, I want to make a soundscape that explores alot cinematic effects like deep thundering bass, strings and a strong melody.

I've done what I normally do at the start of a writing session. I sat down at a piano and just began playing anything that just came into my head. I love playing in G major and I just started messing around with chords within the key trying to keep it simple and slow. In my head I had large panoramic landscapes with blue sky... like the ocean or a mountain range... maybe a cold day. Those kind of emotive scenes dictate the velocity of the piece and how I tell the story.

It's not going to be a 20 minute orchestral piece of music. I want it short and sweet, maybe something you would have on a trailer.
